Marco Catella

Marco Catella is a 22-year-old composer from Buenos Aires, Argentina. With his music, he seeks to evoke universal human emotions, and explore drama in the broadest sense, through a style deeply rooted in the Western musical tradition while striving for relevance in the contemporary world.

Marco has composed chamber music, vocal works, opera scenes, and a two-act chamber opera. He began his studies in composition and theory with Javier Velardez in Buenos Aires, and for the past three years has studied with Dr. J. Mark Stambaugh at Manhattan School of Music.
